This is a picture of me and my best friend on our prom night. I'm on the right. My name is Mary, and she's Sarah. We often joke about Native Son, a book we read in our Lit class in our senior year. 

-spoiler alert- The character named Mary is killed accidentally, but her head is chopped off and her body is shoved into a furnace. So we reenacted a bit from the book and we find this photo to be hysterical. Yes, Native Son is an important piece of literature about American racism… and yes, we have a slightly disturbed sense of humor. We thought it was hysterical because I spat out my drink when I read that Mary was killed because my name is Mary — as well for many other, more important, reasons. We posed by her little mock furnace outside of her house because she often threatens to kill me and shove me in there — and what better time to pose than when we are fully dressed like classy women? 

Sarah once used me as a model for her art class, so she has a hand-drawn picture of me. I'd love to one-up her and get a crappy hand drawn copy of this. If you could make sure to include my hooker heelz, that would be great. They're totally out of my character, so they're important to the photo as well.
