Japanese Photobooths

The guy on the left, my husband, is a Marine. I'm a little biased but he's the most insanely awesome dude ever. When he's not off shooting people in the desert, he's programming on the computer, kicking ass at some video game, or kicking actual ass because he's an amazing martial artist. He enjoys singing. He can take any tune and make lyrics up on the fly; they're usually inappropriate renditions. He also spends a considerable amount of his time offending the weak hearted for the fun of it.

The guy on the right, my brother-in-law, is actually a very talented artist. Around Halloween, or whenever he feels like it, he can be found dressed up as the Joker from Batman. He's big into Batman and Star Wars (we all are on the latter). He came to visit us in our new house out in Okinawa, JP, and bought those creeper sunglasses just to, well, be a creeper American.

Great Weekend

We were all tired after a day of sand-hill sledding. We had a great weekend in Michigan. We watched Despicable Me, and it's now our favorite movie. We also played an incredibly elaborate game. I think they would appreciate if they got a portrait drawn on this website (they are avid readers) to commemorate the amazing weekend.

We love everything crazy like burning man, rain in the desert, ridiculous gloves, and everything rainbow and queer and fun.

The Ballad of Matt Collander

It started off innocently, as most things do.

This is from a Halloween Party two years ago. Please make this epic.

I responded with "My mom created this portrait for you. She was drawing silently for about fifteen minutes when all the sudden she said "I want this cowboy to be shirtless." That quote is pretty epic. I hope you enjoy it.

Love, Sarah of FCP"

Two days later, I received this:

Hello.

I recently requested a portrait from your fine establishment, made after a photo of three of my close friends and I at Halloween, requesting it only that it be epic. The picture drawn is, indeed, epic, but I am not included in the picture! Perhaps it is because I am nearly photobombing the photo I sent in and am not obviously the focus of the photo?

Anyways, I was hoping I could try this again and hopefully end up in the drawing this time! The photo I'm submitting is of me with a hat and soap, and I am neither the hat nor the soap, so it should be clear where I am in the photo. I am also not the background.

"Matt, I must take full blame for you being left out. Here is a paraphrased enactment of what happened:

My mom: What about this guy in the background? I can't see his costume.
Sarah: Well, it's probably not his picture, so don't bother drawing him. I like what you have going.

So to make up for this, I have provided you a portrait of which I am pretty damn proud of. You are also person #4 I have drawn unnecessarily nude, so there is a fun stat for you. Now you can show your whole family how you spend your afternoons in the desert. Love and kisses, Sarah of FCP"
