Labyrinth

Submitted by MacKensie G.

We're both huge classic rock fans, in fact Austin's kind of in love with Steve Perry of Journey and I named my beagle mix Ziggy Stardust after David Bowie - and while we're on the topic of Bowie, we dressed up as King Jareth and Sara from "Labyrinth" for Halloween. We're both training for a marathon, graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and are from a small hick town called Ocala. We like Super Mario Brothers, musicals, partying and eating at TGI Fridays. He loves Star Wars and climbing trees, and I love reading and crafting. Oh, and I recently cut of 17" of hair for Locks of Love!

Sheep Farm

Submitted by Sadie P.

I’d love a portrait of my mum for her 70th birthday. She loves a party, loves her dogs (border collies) and is known for always having lots of them, she has 7 grandchildren and her husband is Malcolm, she also loves her garden and gets stuck into it (not really into roses and flowers). They live on a wheat and sheep farm north of Perth, WA.

Welcome to the Jungle

Submitted by Amira G.

Marrying Brandon was one of the best days of my life! Not only is he one of the smartest people I know (he just graduated from Law School), he's also one of the most fun to be around and talented men I've ever met (he sings and plays guitar in an 80's hair band, need I say more?) He also rides a motorcycle, surfs and welds furniture.

I'm a librarian-in-training (almost done with my Master's program in Library Science) and mom to our four-legged daughter Lucy:-) We all live in a little house by the beach.

Weirdest Roommates

Submitted by Molly M.

This is a picture of my three roommates and I. We live in the middle of nowhere, Georgia and are all freshman in college. Chelsea on the far left has a bizarre fascination for milk. Her hair is a curly fro before she straightens it. When she's not sleeping you can find her in her bright purple towel wrap hitting on guys. Second from the left is Emily. Emily is almost a legal midget and is obsessed with wearing designer jeans. She also loves to drink her Diet Coke, if she doesn't have Diet Coke she can't wake up in the morning... literally! I'm the third from the left holding our dog Levi. We adopted Levi outside of a Walmart shopping center and snuck him in our dorm room for the night. We payed $50 for him and only had him for one night because our air vents circulate throughout the whole building. But it's ok because our R.A. never found out :) On the right side of the picture is Francesca. Francesca can do a mean impersonation of Adolf Hitler. She used to play softball. She also slept through a deafening fire alarm in our building once. We're the four weirdest roommates you'll ever meet. The End.

Records

Submitted by Sara H.

We are highschool sweethearts getting married this August.
Mike thinks Sara loves her golden retriever more than she loves him.
Mike loves folk music.
Sara is terrified of flying and cruises
Sara wants to live off of pasta when they get married.
Mike & Sara love anything vintage. Records are the best.

100% German

Submitted by Jaclyn P.

Evan plays a lot of soccer, he's an architect, and he currently lives with three cats (Spaghetti (red), Theo (grey) and Fred (black and white)) and four guy friends in a dirty boy house. He loves sneakers and has a really crappy cell phone that doesn't have sound, doesnt vibrate, and has tape holding the battery in. His family is 100% German.

I'm Mexican, Italian and Polish. I manage two yoga studios in Michigan, I have a little red Australian shepherd with pointy ears named Henry. I love to bake pies, hike mountains and I'm a pescetarian, which means the only meat I eat is fish.

Evan and I like to be bums together when we're not working. We drink a lot of 24 oz. Bud Lights and are Guitar Hero rivals, although he is slightly better than me. We both love electronic music, sweatpants, television, spicy Mexican food, hot sauce, and food in general.

Spiders

Submitted by Jen L.

Attached are pictures of me and my dog, my one true love. I enjoy drinking, loud music, tattoos, drinking, taking funny pictures, my family, and drinking. As a recently single girl, I'm looking to enjoy these things a lot more in the near future. Especially drinking.

I hate spiders

Spinsterhood—Bring it on!

Submitted by Tamara D.

I'm a very soon to be (gasp) 40 year old (double gasp) single girl. The whole single thing isn't new nor is turning 40…so I'm not sure why my family is acting as if this will be the year of the great demise of all my hopes and dreams, but alas, I apparently will have officially achieved (like I did it on purpose) spinsterhood. This is compounded by the fact that I'm the middle of 5 children and all the others have married and have/or will procreate. I have given my parents a adopted-grandchild in the form a fluffy adorable little cocker spaniel named Sadie, but apparently she doesn't really count. I'll say this for Sadie…she kisses and cuddles with the best of them, and she never begs for money (just french fries)…..so I just don't get it??? They should really see the genius in my circumstance- I am footloose and fancy free (free enough with my moola to have taken each sibling individually on an fancy international vacation and my niece to Ireland for high school graduation gift) and loving life to the fullest- (things I love with my whole heart: cave aged cheeses, travel, old cook books, Jane Austen novels (I know- cliche), haunted castle hotels, my hybrid highlander, my loud interfering, supportive and loving family and…. Sadie! So- bring on 40- if this is spinsterhood, I'm in!!!!!!!

For Fuzzy

Submitted by Natasha S.

This is my best friend (Menaka) on the extreme left, my dog (Fuzzy) at the centre and me on the right.  Fuzzy passed away last year. I had him for 15 years. I don't think that I will ever get over this loss. Menaka is an English teacher. She teacher a class of 9 terribly naughty boys. She loves singing and and dancing in her free time. By dancing I mean Indian Classical.  I'm a travel writer. I travel, I write and want to spend the rest of my life on the road. Or in a different country every month. I love forests and wild animals. I'm pretty sure the cause of my death will be a tiger eating me up. I wish I could keep another pet, but I don't have the courage to lose another one.
